What to Expect During Your Child's Session
l believe all families deserve high-quality images of their children. My fine art children's portraits offer a modern approach to traditional photographs. Instead of using props and backdrops, I focus on authentically capturing the personalities of each child with a simple background. This keeps the focus on what is important - your child! I prioritize taking time to connect with each child to highlight their unique self. My aim is to create a relaxed, laid-back experience that helps each child feel comfortable in front of the camera. I will never force a child to pose in a way that is unnatural, awkward or forced. And I never require that they smile in front of the camera.

What Should My Child Wear?
First and foremost, choose something your child likes and feels comfortable in! How they feel in their clothes will be visible in the photos. I usually suggest solid colors or simple patterns, as these help create timeless images. Avoid clothing with graphics, text, or anything too bright (like reds or neons), as these can distort the color of your images. I want your children to look like themselves, so don't worry about perfection! Remember, the goal is to capture them as they are now. Read over this blog post to get started.
Where Will These Photos be Taken?
At my home! I'll have a studio set up at my home in Kimberton, PA and will share final details for arrival, parking and address shortly before your session. They'll be taken in front of a neutral background to create timeless portraits that focus on what is important - your child! While I do not use props in my photos, children may bring a lovey, stuffed animal, or comfort item if you would like it included in the photos.

What Happens After My Session?
Within two weeks of your child's session, you'll receive an email with a private gallery of images of your child. Each gallery will have 3-5 images in both color and black and white. I'll send you a promo code for your 1 included image so that you can easily download this for free.
Like more than one image? You can easily order additional digital images as well as prints and products directly through your gallery.
